Dear friends of the World and Members of the Nigerian Global
Awakening Day,
We are pleased to inform you that your Protest Brochure for the
Global Protest is ready to be launched. This is the invites we intend to send
to Nigerians, World leaders, World Media, and friends of Nigerians around the
Globe.
We have to be honest to accept that we Nigerians cannot do
this on or own, we need all the help and all hands on board to achieve a
peaceful, thriving, sustained peace, unity and progress and our present rulers
and the judiciary system in Nigeria has failed us.
The link to your
online petition is included in the brochure, please sign it as well.
This is the link to
your brochure which clearly states our aims, objectives and protest locations around
the world:
YOUR TAKING PART IS IMPORTANT:
Download the octopus logo, this is what we intend to wear on
the 23rd of June 2012 so please copy it and make your protest t-shirt. We want
the world and world media to capture the octopus logo as it spells out our
messages.
Remember, this is your protest, my protest and our protest.
So, let us all do our own part and help spread the news. Start your own
campaigns, change your profile pictures to the octopus logo, email, and twit.
Please share this brochure to all your friends and families.
Crucially, this is
the brochure you will need to send to the Nigerian Embassy in order to inform
them of your plans to protest in front of the Embassy on the 23rd of June 2012.
Also, this brochure is all you need to send to the Police for their support and
protest permit in any part of the world that you are based. We promise you that
we will try our best not to stress you and that all preparation for the protest
will be free. As you can see, we are fulfilling our promise and now it is your
time to do your part.
We sincerely believe that together we can. This month of
June is the month of the masses, the month we hope to capture the attention of
the world, to hear our plight, to feel our struggle for a better Nigeria. Rosa
Park, President Obama, Martin Luther King, and Mandela just to mention few,
kept hope alive and protest for what they believed in. They do not give in to
pessimists, neither do they analyse their plight for ever. They stood up and
ACT, they started with PROTESTING. LET US START TO EMULATE GOODNESS, PEOPLE WHO
CHANGED THE WORLD FOR THE BETTERMENT OF ALL.
And we Nigerians will start step by step until Nigerian
leaders accept that the masses are their priority. Every single corners of
Nigeria shall be cleanse of corruption, we do not have any other choice but to
confront the cankerworms that are bent on creating division and hardship among
innocent masses while they steal billions as we have seen from evidences before
us.
This is the start, and it can be done and it shall be done
Insha Allah, in Jesus name. Amen, Amin Yara bi.
Please download the brochure free, make your own t-shirts
and spread the news via all available free forum like emails, phone lists,
Facebook, twitter etc.
Note that we are not allowed to download a pdf on Facebook;
this was why we set up a website so that you will be able to download all the
information in a pack.
Fact remains that Nigeria is a blessed Nation but millions
of Nigerians around the globe and especially in Nigeria lives in abject
poverty. We know this is a fact, the world knows this is fact. And the word of
world leaders says it all-
"If the same amount of money looted from Nigeria
economy for the past 30years by their leaders were also looted from Britain,
Britain by today will no longer exists as a region"
~ David Cameron (British Prime Minister)
Also, we Nigerians should stop been manipulated by corrupt
rulers who primed us with the notion that there is tribal hatred or religious
war in Nigeria.
You and I know that this is not true; we know that we lived
together in harmony; we engaged and interact together in our ordinary lives. We
also know that our own tribe’s men and women causes us more pain than someone outside
our tribe.
We all know that corruption has no respect for religion,
tribes and status. So let us come together and work together to engage
proactively to eradicate endemic corruption that is evidently destroying lives
of millions of Nigerians, thus affecting progress of Nigerians at home and
across the globe.
MAY GOD CONTINUE TO BLESS OUR GREAT NATION NIGERIA. AND YES
WE CAN. BELIEVE, PRAYERS MUST BE BACKED BY ACTIONS OR ELSE WE FAIL. MAY WE
PROGRESS AS A NATION FOR THE BETTERMENT OF OUR FUTURE GENERATIONS.

ReplyDeleteNigerians, the world is watching, let us be focused, let us forget about that evil ‘me’, ‘me’, ‘me’ culture that is destroying our uniformity and collective progressive.
THIS IS YOUR PROTEST, MY PROTEST, AND OUR PROTEST.
THIS IS THE TIME FOR NIGERIA, FOR THE BETTERMENT OF ALL NIGERIANS AND FRIENDS OF NIGERIANS ACROSS THE GLOBE.
THE TIME IS NOW NIGERIANS;
CORRUPTION DOES NOT CARE ABOUT RELIGION, TRIBE, POLITICAL AFFILIATIONS OR STATUS, ALL CORRUPTION CARES ABOUT IS TO KILL THE INNOCENT, ENSLAVE THE INNOCENT MINDS AND FUTURE.
SO LET US FIGHT TOGETHER IN ERRADICATING CORRUPTION IN NIGERIA.
AND YES WE CAN.
No matter how rotten a society is, there will still be few ones that have honour and integrity. Evil, they say, is ignorance and ignorance is evil. Therefore, it will not be an overstatement that Nigeria has been having men of IGNORANCE as leaders since independence and that is why all they care about is LOOTING & DESTRUCTION of the whole system. But the time has come that Nigerians will no longer tolerate this EVIL for it is our common DESTINY. As a result, all well meaning Nigerians and friends of Nigeria are invited to take active part in this GLOBAL PROTEST scheduled for 23rd June. We should remember that heaven helps those that help themselves. We all owe it a duty to stand up against this endemic CORRUPTION & INJUSTICE plaguing Nigeria, at least for the sake of humanity - Dr Moshood Rajah Oyeniyi.
ReplyDeleteAs long as GOD cannot afford to be a failure in his acts, individually and collectivelly, our efforts to put our GREAT nation NIGERIA in a good shape shall never be in vain..so be it and GOD help us.
ReplyDeleteNigerians Says No to Nigeria Political corruptions – Michael Williams
ReplyDeletePolitical corruption is not a recent occurrence that pervades Nigerian. Since the creation of modern public administration in Nigeria, there have been cases of official misuse of resources for personal enrichment, and even now, the looting hasn’t stopped. How can a nation become a victim of high-level corruption, bad governance, political instability and a cyclical legitimacy crisis?
A very rich nation, rich in mineral resources, and with extreme fertile lands, but ordinary citizens living below poverty level.
Should we fold our hand and look on, or should we keep praying and wait for God’s help, where we can carry our on cross by ourselves? Won’t it be a great idea to demonstrate across the globe to show our grievances, so that rest of the world can see that, Nigeria as a nation need to be taken back from the looters that has highjack the nation, looting and sharing the nations wealth? Aren’t we needed the EU, America, and Canada for a start to take punitive actions against Nigeria rulers on Nigerians behalf?
The Nigerian State is a victim of high-level corruption, bad governance, political instability and a cyclical legitimacy crisis, and as a result, national development is retarded, and the political environment uncertain. The country’s authoritarian leadership faced a legitimacy crisis, political machinations, in an ethnically differentiated polity, where ethnic competition for resources drove much of the persistent corruption and wastefulness. While the political elites constantly manipulated the people and the political processes to advance their own selfish agenda, the society remained extremely poor, and the people lives in abject poverty. This consistently led to weak legitimacy, as the electorate or citizens lacked faith in their political leaders and the political system. Participation in government was low because citizens perceived it as irrelevant to their lives. In the absence of support from civil society, the effective power of government was eroded. Patron - client relationships took a prime role over the formal aspects of politics, such as the rule of law, well-functioning political parties, and a credible electoral system. In order to break this cycle and ensure good governance, accountability and transparency must be guaranteed. Honesty is an exclusive gift; don't expect it from shameful people.
As the Economic and EFCC had prosecuted thirty politicians, only four were convicted and none are now in prison a present. But not all the EFCC's failures since 2002 were its own fault. Because Nigeria's political system continued to reward rather than punish corruption. "When ruling party chieftain Olabode George emerged from prison in 2011 after serving a two-and-a-half year sentence following a landmark EFCC prosecution, he was treated to a blissful welcome by members of Nigeria's political elite including GEJ, OBJ and then-Defense Minister, Ademola Adetokunbo.
Human Rights Watch said at the time said, “it showed that ‘proven criminality’ was "no bar to the highest echelons of politics in Nigeria”.
As we all known that, "The EFCC only had huge success in tackling private sector corruption. But, public sector corruption is what is key because of endemic government corruption in Nigeria has undermined the basic rights of majority of the Nigeria people.
Imagine in the history of the EFCC, it had secured only four convictions of high-profile political figures. So, what’s the use of the EFCC if the Nigeria political elite has paralyzed them? In reality, Nigeria's courts are the obstacles to accountability, with most of the EFCC's big cases stalled for years without the trials commencing.
Friends and comrades, Join Nigerian Global Awakening Day protest in London and other city of the world on 23rd June 2012, @ between 1;00 – 6pm.
