We have to change some norms that are disabling us as a Nation: And the member says the truth-Our understanding of govt in Nigeria is still below the minimum acceptable parameter.
"I
hope and pray that we’ll be there someday. Our understanding of govt
in Nigeria is still below the minimum acceptable parameter. We still
think like dictators and the subjugated. We still continue to
personalize and tribalize govt issues, that is one of the reasons why
we are still failing to advance as a nation. A govt is a conglomeration
of people with the aim of moving a nation forward for the good of its
people. Do not compare the U.S with Nigeria at all; you are talking
about a nation whose people are the most patriotic people on earth,
where national pride supercedes every other ideology.
If you must know, it is the duty of every paid worker to perform his utmost, the govt and all its constituent members, from the legislative through onto the judiciary and the executive are paid huge sums of money to perform in their duty to deliver dividends to the people in their various fields. Nigerians do not owe Goodluck Jonathan or any other member of govt anything at all, rather, it is they who owe this nation the duty of serving her diligently and effectively. Don’t forget that GEJ is the head of govt and its armed forces whose primary duty and obligation is that of protecting the lives and properties of Nigerians. In govt, a duty is a duty!"
